Description

The Eurasian wolf, also known as common wolf, is a subspecies of Canis Lupus, the species that includes wolves and dogs. It is the emblematic European wolf, present in tales and fables. Once very common in the Eurasian continent, this predator was hunted until its near extinction before becoming a protected species 40 years ago. It is now making a great comeback in many European countries.
