The Poulnabrone Dolmen is a large megalithic structure located in western Ireland, dating back to the Neolithic period, between 4200 and 2900 BCE. It features a trio of upright stones supporting a horizontal capstone. The entire structure measures over four meters in length and spans two to three meters in width. The capstone itself is nearly 30 centimeters thick, and the supporting pillars exceed two meters in height. Originally covered by an earthen mound, the dolmen served ritualistic and funerary purposes. Archaeological excavations have found over 30 human remains of individuals mainly under the age of 30.
