It occurs in various colors, including white, gray, green, blue, yellow and colorless, and has a vitreous to pearly luster. Wavellite is typically translucent to opaque and most commonly forms star-rayed to hemispherical aggregates made up of fine needles. It can also form coatings, bark-like structures and integral units.
