by STEAM3D

Description

**Sphalerite (ZnS)** is the primary ore of zinc, typically found in shades of brown, yellow, red, green or black. It is commonly associated with minerals such as galena, pyrite, chalcopyrite, calcite, dolomite and fluorite. **Pyrite (FeS₂)** is a commonly occurring mineral and a significant iron ore. Known as "fool's gold" because of its pale brass-yellow color, pyrite is frequently found alongside other sulfides or oxides in quartz veins, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks, or in coal beds. **Galena (PbS)** is the primary ore of lead and silver, displaying a lead-gray to silvery color. Galena often forms cubic and octahedral crystals and is frequently associated with sphalerite, pyrite, calcite, quartz and fluorite. ## Keywords mineral sulfides texture color ornamental stone semi-precious gemstone
