The orthorhombic crystal system is defined by three axes (a, b, c) of unequal lengths, all intersecting at 90° angles (α = β = γ= 90°). Examples of minerals that crystallize in the orthorhombic system include sulfur (occurring in a monoclinic form), olivine, barite, antimonite, marcasite, epsomite and aragonite.
