Velociraptor belongs among small Late Cretaceous (75‒71 Ma) theropod predators. The animal's length did not exceed two meters, and the weight was about 20 kg. The skull is unusually cambered, with knife-like teeth and markedly developed indentation at the margins. Short forelimbs have three digits of different lengths and end with strong claws. The second digit of the foot possessed a typical large sickle-like claw. The body, limbs, and tail were feathered. Velociraptors lived in Mongolia and China territory. ## Keywords Mesozoic, Late Cretaceous, dinosaurs, Theropoda, Dromaeosauridae
