Description

*Aspergillus niger* is an ascomycete fungus that forms black, grainy colonies and reproduces through conidia, which are asexual spores. These conidia develop on vesicles located at the tips of conidiophores, which are 1–3 mm in length. *A. niger* is a known pathogen that can contaminate food and, in some cases, infect humans.
