Stem differences of monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plants
Monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plants differ in several features. Differences can be found in germination, root, leaf to stalk attachment, leaf construction, veins, and bloom. The secondary growth is present in most dicots, whereas in monocots it is absent.
Monocots have a distinctive scattered arrangement of vascular tissue rather than arranged in concentric rings, which is common for dicots.
