These stone head statues are called Moai, and are found on Rapa Nui in the southern Pacific Ocean. They were carved between 1250 and 1500 AD, and with an average height of 4 metres there is lots of speculation as to how these huge statues were moved to their locations. Most of the Moai are positioned around the coast and gaze inland to watch over the community.
